Gaggia's new Platinum line of espresso machines is truly a "Swing" in the right direction. The stunning elegance of the Platinum Swing espresso machine will have your friends and family filled with envy! The sleek stainless steel front panel blends in beautifully with your other stainless appliances. The control panel is on a backlit touch ring and has an LCD digital screen. The touch ring allows the user to scroll through all the different programming options available. Some other features of this machine include a stainless steel boiler, Gaggia milk island, (included), E. Plus Beverage Strength System, Rapid Steam Boiler, Pannarello frothing wand and numerous others.
E. Plus Beverage Strength System
This knob allows the user to adjust the strenth of their coffee or espresso for each cup, even while brewing! A turn all the way to the left makes a weaker coffee while a turn all the way to the right makes a very strong coffee/espresso. Leave the knob in the middle for a regular strenth coffee.
Rapid Steam Boiler
The rapid steam stainless steel lined boiler eliminates downtime and assures the user that you will not have to wait between brewing espresso and steaming milk for cappuccinos and lattes.
Pannarello Frothing Wand
The stainless steel pannarello frothing attachment is very simple to use. Simply fill a frothing pitcher with milk, insert the pannarello frothing attachment into the milk and you will have froth for creamy cappuccinos and lattes in no time.
Stainless Steel Passive Cup Warmer
When your machine is on, the heat from the top of the machine will warm your espresso cups so they are nice and toasty when you need them. No need to turn the cup warmer off since when the machine is turned off, the cup warmer is also turned off.
Height Adjustable Drip Tray
The drip tray can be manually raised up and down to accommodate different size cups and mugs. This is a useful feature if you have tall coffee cups.
Ceramic Burr Grinder and 8.8 oz. Bean Hopper
A quiet built-in ceramic burr grinder grinds your beans for the freshest tasting espresso without waking up the entire crew! The bean hopper holds about 1/2 lb. of beans and when empty, the display will alert you that it needs to be filled.
Steam Nozzle and Hot Water Dispenser
The steam nozzle can be used for steam for frothing milk for cappuccinos and lattes or hot water for making hot chocolates, teas and even soups! Choose either the steam function or hot water function from the control panel.
Opti-Dose System
The opti-dose features lets the user adjust the amount of ground coffee used from 7 grams for a lighter espresso to 10.5 grams for a stronger espresso.
Pre-infusion Brew System Cycle
Pre-infusion allows you to get maximum flavor from the brewing process. This advanced system takes the newly ground coffee beans from the internal coffee grinder and correctly tamps the coffee. The grounds are then gently pre-soaked and then brewed before being discarded automatically into the internal dump box. The machine then resets itself for the next brewing cycle.
Bypass doser
This indispensible feature is one you can't live without! It's perfect for the nights when you don't want the caffeine to keep you up and you don't feel like emptying the bean hopper. Or if you have guests that want a decaf, use the top-loading bypass doser instead. For ground coffee only.
